Small changes in electricity prices

The average price of electric energy for households was 26.7 øre/kWh in the second quarter of 2004, excluding taxes and grid rent. This is 7.7 per cent lower than in the first quarter of 2004 and 4.4 per cent lower than in the second quarter last year.

Including taxes and grid rent the price of electricity for households was 74.3 øre/kWh in the second quarter this year. This is 1.4 per cent higher than in the second quarter of 2003.

The average price of electric energy for the service industry was 23.4 øre/kWh in the second quarter, excluding taxes and grid rent. This is 8.2 per cent lower than in the first quarter and 8.5 per cent lower than in the second quarter of 2003.

Electricity prices, grid rent and taxes for households, quarterly

For the manufacturing industry except energy-intensive manufacturing and the pulp and paper industry, the price of electricity was 22.4 øre/kWh in the second quarter. This is 8.3 per cent lower than in the first quarter and 2.3 per cent lower than in the second quarter of 2003. For energy-intensive manufacturing and the pulp and paper industry the average price of electric energy was 11.6 øre/kWh in the second quarter this year.
