Decrease in liabilities abroad
Norwegian liabilities abroad ended at NOK 6 886 billion after the 2nd quarter of 2017. This was a decrease of NOK 92 billion compared to the 1st quarter of 2017. Other investments largely contributed to this decrease.

Decrease in inward settlement flows
Incoming bank settlement flows decreased by NOK 10 billion from the first quarter of 2017 to the second quarter of 2017. Outgoing settlement were steady from the previous quarter with an increase of 3 billion.

In the period from August 7th – August 13th the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 59.53 per kilo. This is a decrease of 1.7 per cent compared to the previous seven-day period.

Increase in mainland exports
Exports of goods accounted for NOK 60.7 billion in July, 2.3 per cent more than in July last year. Mainland exports increased while income from crude oil declined.

First trade deficit in nearly 20 years
Import of goods amounted to NOK 67 billion in June – 24.6 per cent more than the previous year. Export of goods rose by 9.9 percent, ending at NOK 66.3 billion. The trade deficit thereby ended at NOK about 750 million.

Norway´s portfolio investments abroad amounted to NOK 9 136 billion at the end of 2016. In the last 10 years, the total portfolio investments have increased from NOK 2 721 billion.
