More bears shot

A total of 12 bears were reported shot or killed in the hunting year 2014/2015. This is 7 more than the previous hunting year.

In total, 10 bears were shot as nuisance last hunting year, which is 8 more than the year before. One bear out of a quota of 9 were shot under licence. In addition, one was felled in self-defence.

More wolverines felled under licence

In the hunting year 2014/2015, a total of 149 hunting licences for wolverines were issued, and 47 animals were shot during the licence hunting. Compared with the previous hunting year, the yield increased by 12 animals. In Norway as a whole, a total of 89 wolverines were reported shot or killed.

Lynx

A total of 89 lynx were reported shot or died of other causes last hunting year. In total, 70 lynx were shot as part of the quota hunting in the winter of 2015.

Fewer wolves shot

In total, 14 wolves were shot; 7 were shot as nuisance, 6 were shot under licence and one was killed by a car.
