- The weakened krone and travel-loving Norwegians and foreigners have given the hotel industry a good start to the summer, says senior advisor Sindre Torgals in Statistics Norway (SSB).

- It looks like Norwegians continue to travel in Norway. In June there were more Norwegian hotel guest nights compared to before the pandemic, while foreign guest nights are not back to their pre-pandemic levels, adds Torgals.

Including guest nights from camping sites, holiday dwellings and youth hostels, there were almost 4.6 million guest nights at commercial accommodation establishments in June 2023, and with that the best June recorded in this statistics history.
