Profitable year for listed enterprises

The operating profit margin for listed enterprises was 16 per cent in the fourth quarter of 2006, which was one and a half percentage points lower than in the fourth quarter of 2005. But profitability, measured by operating profit margin, was much higher in the first three quarters of 2006 than in the first three quarters of 2005, making 2006 a very profitable year for listed enterprises.
