Many immigrants establish their own enterprise
Even though the non-Western immigrants constitute only 5.7 per cent of the population, this group amounts for 7.2 per cent of the new established enterprises that were established during 2004. The western immigrants constitute 2.2 per cent of the population and this group established 4.1 per cent of the new enterprises. The proportion of women and men is the same - independent of national background.
