Decrease in transport costs

The total cost index for road goods transport decreased by 0.2 per cent from December 2015 to January 2016. Over the last 12 months the total costs have decreased by 0.4 per cent.

The sub-index for ferry and road toll costs increased by 2.4 per cent in the last month. Over the last 12 months the sub-index has increased by 3.7 per cent.

Decrease in fuel prices

The fuel index decreased by 1.2 per cent during the last month. From January 2015 to January 2016 this sub-index decreased by 6.8 per cent.

Increase in insurance premiums

The insurance cost index increased by 0.9 per cent during the last month. During the last 12 months this index has increased by 5.8 per cent.

Increase in repair and service costs

The sub-index for repair and service costs increased by 0.6 per cent last month. In the last 12 months this sub-index has increased by 3.5 per cent.

Decrease in capital costs

The index for capital costs decreased by 0.2 per cent from December 2015 to January 2016. Over the last 12 months this sub-index has decreased by 0.5 per cent.

Decrease in administration costs

The administration costs decreased by 0.2 per cent during the last month. Over the last twelve months this sub-index has increased by 1.3 per cent.
