Increase in transport costs

The total cost index for road goods transport increased by 0.2 per cent from August to September 2013. Over the last 12 months, the total costs have increased by 3.4 per cent.

The fuel index increased by 1.2 per cent during the last month. From September 2012 to September 2013, this sub-index increased by 0.8 per cent.

Increase in ferry and road toll costs

The sub-index for ferry and road toll costs increased by 3.3 per cent in the last month. Over the last 12 months, the sub-index has increased by 20.6 per cent.

Decrease in capital costs

The index for capital costs decreased by 1.4 per cent from August to September 2013. Over the last 12 months, this sub-index has decreased by 0.5 per cent.

Increase in repair and service costs

The sub-index for repair and service costs increased by 0.3 per cent from August to September 2013. In the last 12 months, this sub-index has increased by 2.7 per cent.
