Increase in transport costs

The total cost index for road goods transport increased by 0.8 per cent from July to August 2013. Over the last 12 months the total costs have increased by 3.4 per cent.

Shows a percentage change in lorry transport from the same month last year. There has been a decline in growth from July to August, both for the total index for all vehicle groups and the total index without ferry and toll costs.

The wage index increased by 1.8 per cent during the last month. Over the last twelve months this index has increased by 5.5 per cent.

Increase in administration costs

The administration costs increased by 1.3 per cent during the last month. Over the last twelve months this sub-index has increased by 4.6 per cent.

Increase in capital costs

The index for capital costs increased by 0.7 per cent from July to August 2013. Over the last 12 months this sub-index has decreased by 1.3 per cent.

Increase in fuel index

The fuel index decreased by 0.2 per cent during the last month. From August 2012 to August 2013 this sub-index has increased by 1.1 per cent.

Increase in repair and service costs

The sub-index for repair and service costs increased by 0.1 per cent from July to August 2013. In the last 12 months this sub-index has increased by 2.9 per cent.
