Higher diesel prices mean more expensive road transport
The total cost index for road goods transport increased by 0.6 per cent from December 2011 to January 2012. Over the last 12 months the total costs have increased by 3.9 per cent.
The fuel index increased by 2.6 per cent during the last month. Over the last 12 months this sub-index has increased by 6.1 per cent.
Increase in repair and service costs
The sub-index for repair and service costs increased by 1.1 per cent during the last month. Over the last 12 months this index has increased by 3.9 per cent.
Decrease in insurance premiums
The insurance cost index decreased by 2.9 per cent from December 2011 to January 2012. During the last 12 months this index has decreased by 2.3 per cent.
Decrease in the tyre index
The tyre index decreased by 0.9 per cent last month. Over the last 12 months this sub-index has increased by 9.3 per cent.
Increase in administrative costs
Administration costs increased by 0.3 per cent last month. Over the last 12 months this sub-index has increased by 2.7 per cent.
Increased ferry and road toll costs
The sub-index for ferry and road toll costs increased by 0.3 per cent last month. Over the last 12 months this index has increased by 0.5 per cent.
About the fuel indexThe fuel index is based on prices obtained from a selection of retailers located throughout Norway. Surveys show that the development in these prices is very similar to the development in the contract prices for fuel supplied by the major distributors. About the capital cost indexThe capital cost index consists of depreciation and amortisation, interest costs and annual fees. |
