Cheaper fuel - but other costs increase
The total cost index for road goods transport decreased by 0.5 per cent from May to June 2012. Over the last 12 months, the total costs have increased by 1.5 per cent.
The fuel index has decreased by 2.7 per cent in the last month. From June 2011 to June 2012, this sub-index decreased by 2.2 per cent.
Increased capital costs
From May to June 2012, the index for capital costs increased by 0.5 per cent. Over the last 12 months, this index has increased by 0.8 per cent.
Increased ferry and road toll costs
The sub-index for ferry and road toll costs has increased by 0.4 per cent in the last month. Over the last 12 months, the sub-index for ferry and road toll costs has increased by 0.6 per cent.
Increased tyre index
The tyre index increased by 0.3 per cent last month. Over the last 12 months, this sub-index has grown by 1.8 per cent.
Increase in repair and service costs
The sub-index for repair and service costs increased by 0.3 per cent from May to June. Over the last 12 months, this index has increased by 3.4 per cent.
Higher administrative costs
Administration costs increased by 0.1 per cent last month. Over the last 12 months, this sub-index has increased by 2.6 per cent.
About the fuel indexThe fuel index is based on prices obtained from a selection of retailers located throughout Norway. Surveys show that the development in these prices is very similar to the development in the contract prices for fuel supplied by the major distributors. About the capital cost indexThe capital cost index consists of depreciation and amortisation, interest costs and annual fees. |
