Decrease in transport costs
The total cost index for road goods transport decreased by 0.3 per cent from August to September 2011. Over the last twelve months the total costs have increased by 5.5 per cent.
The index for capital costs decreased by 1.3 per cent from August to September 2011. Over the last twelve months this index has increased by 1.7 per cent.
Decrease in fuel index
The fuel index decreased by 1.0 per cent during the last month. From September 2010 to September 2011 this sub-index has increased by 11.5 per cent.
Higher prices for tyres
The tyre index rose by 1.8 per cent from August to September due to price adjustments by some suppliers. Over the last twelve months this sub-index has increased by 10.3 per cent.
Increase in repair and service costs
The sub-index for repair and service costs increased by 0.6 per cent during the last month. Over the last twelve months this index has increased by 3.8 per cent.
Modest increase in administrative costs
Administration costs increased by 0.1 per cent last month. Over the last twelve months this sub-index has increased by 3.5 per cent.
About the fuel indexThe fuel index is based on prices obtained from a selection of retailers located throughout Norway. Surveys show that the development in these prices is very similar to the development in the contract prices for fuel supplied by the major distributors. About the capital cost indexThe capital cost index consists of depreciation and amortisation, interest costs and annual fees. |
