Increase in diesel prices
The total cost index for road goods transport increased by 0.3 per cent from September 2010 to October 2010. Over the last twelve months the total costs have increased by 3.4 per cent.
The fuel index increased by 2.0 per cent during the last month. From September 2009 to October 2010 this sub-index has increased by 11.8 per cent.
Decreased capital costs
From September 2010 to October 2010 the index for capital costs decreased by 1.0 per cent. Over the last twelve months, this index (which is composed of depreciation and amortisation, interest costs and annual fees) has decreased by 1.4 per cent.
Increased tyre index
The tyre index increased by 0.6 per cent last month. Over the last twelve months this sub-index has increased by 3.4 per cent.
Increase in repair and service costs
The sub-index for repair and service costs increased by 0.2 per cent from September to October. Over the last twelve months this index has increased by 2.9 per cent.
Modest decrease in administration costs
The administration costs decreased by 0.2 per cent last month. Over the last twelve months this sub-index has increased 1.5 per cent.
About the fuel indexThe fuel index is based on prices obtained from a selection of retailers located throughout Norway. Surveys show that the development in these prices is very similar to the development in the contract prices for fuel supplied by the major distributors. |
