Cost index for road goods transport, Q4 2009

The fuel index decreased by 0.9 per cent during the last month. From December 2008 to December 2009 this sub-index increased by 2.9 per cent.

Decreased capital costs

From November to December 2009, the index for capital costs decreased by 2.0 per cent. Over the last twelve months, this index (which is composed of depreciation and amortisation, interest costs and annual fees) has decreased by 9.1 per cent.

Modest increase in administration costs

The administration costs increased by 0.1 per cent last month. Over the last twelve months this sub-index has increased 3.5 per cent.
