Increase in transport costs
The total cost index for road goods transport increased by 0.6 per cent from October to November 2009. Over the last twelve months the total costs have increased by 1.4 per cent.
The fuel index increased by 4.3 per cent during the last month. From November 2008 to November 2009 this sub-index has decreased by 3.9 per cent.
The insurance cost index increased by 2.5 per cent last month. During the last 12 months this index has increased by 10.3 per cent.
Decreased capital costs
From October to November 2009, the index for capital costs decreased by 0.9 per cent. Over the last twelve months, this index (which is composed of depreciation and amortisation, interest costs and annual fees) has decreased by 7.1 per cent.
Decrease in wage index
The wage index has decreased by 0.5 per cent during the last month. Over the last 12 months this index has increased by 3.8 per cent.
About the fuel indexThe fuel index is based on prices obtained from a selection of retailers located throughout Norway. Surveys show that the development in these prices is very similar to the development in the contract prices for fuel supplied by the major distributors. |
