Cost index for road goods transport, Q1.333333333333333333 2009

The fuel index increased by 4.5 per cent during the last month. From April 2008 to April 2009 this sub-index decreased by 13.3 per cent.

From March to April 2009 the index for capital costs decreased by 1.5 per cent, mainly due to a decrease in real interest rates. Over the last twelve months this index, which is composed of depreciation and amortisation, interest costs and annual fees, has decreased by 5.9 per cent.

The tyre index increased by 1.6 per cent last month. Over the last twelve months this sub-index has grown by 12.2 per cent.

The sub-index for repair and service costs increased by 0.2 per cent from March to April. In the last 12 months this index has increased by 7.7 per cent.
