Cost index for road goods transport, Q3.333333333333333333 2008

The total cost index for road goods transport decreased by 0.4 per cent from September to October 2008. Over the last twelve months the total costs have increased by 8.5 per cent.

From September to October the index for capital costs increased by 0.9 per cent, mainly due to an increase in real interests rates. Over the last twelve months this index, which is composed by depreciation and amortization, interest costs and annual fees, has increased by 5.2 per cent.

The sub-index for repair and service costs increased by 0.6 per cent from September to October. In the last twelve months this index has increased by 6.9 per cent.

The tire index increased by 0.5 per cent the last month. Over the last twelve months this sub-index has grown by 4.1 per cent.
