Cost index for road goods transport, Q2.666666666666666667 2005

The total cost index for road goods transport increased by 0.4 per cent from July 2005 to August 2005. Over the last 12 months the total costs have increased by 4.7 per cent.

Increase in wages and social costs

The wage index has increased by 1.2 per cent during the last month. Over the last 12 months this index increased by 4.6 per cent.

Increased tyre prices

The tyre index has increased by 1.3 per cent from March to April due to price changes by some suppliers. Over the last 12 months this sub-index has increased by 3.3 per cent.

Increased administration costs

The administration costs increased by 0.6 from July to August. Over the last 12 months this index has increased by 3.5 per cent.

The other sub-indices show little or no change over the last month.
