Architect prices up 4.6 per cent

Prices for architectural activities rose by 4.6 per cent from the 3r d quarter last year to the 3r d quarter this year. This is the strongest annual growth in almost two years.

Compared with the 2n d quarter of 2010 the price growth was 1.8 per cent. Since Statistics Norway started to collect data in the 1s t quarter of 1998 the prices have risen by 80 per cent.

Continuous growth in the prices for business consulting

After the low growth in 2009, the prices for business and management consultancy activities in this year have shown a stronger growth. From the 3r d quarter of 2009 to the 3r d quarter of 2010 the increase in prices was 5.7 per cent.

In the 3r d quarter of 2010 the prices for legal activities increased by 3.5 per cent compared to the same quarter of 2009. The increase was highest for the private clients, where the growth was 4.8 per cent. Compared to the previous quarter, the prices were almost unchanged.

Prices for accounting and auditing activities in this quarter were 3.9 per cent higher than in the 3r d quarter of 2009. Auditors had an increase in prices of 4.4 per cent, while accountants had a lower growth, of 3.3 per cent.

Cheaper car rental this summer

Compared to the summer of 2009, car rental customers experienced a decrease by 5.7 per cent this summer. The highest decrease was for foreign clients. On the other hand, the prices for car rental were 1.9 per cent higher than in the 2n d quarter of 2010.
