Lower growth in architectural prices

In the 3rd quarter of 2009 the prices for architectural activities was 2.9 per cent higher than the same quarter last year. However, the growth is lower than it has been in recent years.

During the last two years the annual price growth for architectural activities has been between 5 and 6 per cent. So far in 2009 the annual growth is under 4 per cent, and we have to go back to 2005 to find a lower price growth. From the 2nd to the 3rd quarter of 2009 the prices rose by 0.8 per cent.

From the 3rd quarter of 2008 to the 3rd quarter of 2009 the prices for legal activities increased by 4.1 per cent. The increase was most noticeable for the private clients, who experienced an increase of 5.7 per cent. Compared with the previous quarter, the prices only rose by 0.3 per cent.

The prices for accounting and auditing activities rose by 3.7 per cent compared with the corresponding quarter in 2008. The price growth was strongest for the accounting and book-keeping activities, with an increase of 4.8 per cent., while the growth for auditing activities was 2.4 per cent.

More expensive car rental this summer

This summer, the prices for car rental were almost 9 per cent higher compared with the 3rd quarter of 2008. The price growth between the 2nd and the 3rd quarter of 2009 was almost 6 per cent.

Low growth in the prices for business consulting

The prices for business and management consulting activities are stable. In the 3rd quarter of 2009 the prices increased by 0.5 per cent compared with the same period last year. Compared with the previous quarter the prices showed a decrease of 0.4 per cent.

Continuous growth in the prices for industrial cleaning activities

The growth in the prices for cleaning activities continues at the same tempo as previous quarters this year. Between the 3rd quarter of 2008 and the 3rd quarter of 2009 the prices rose by 3.1 per cent. From the 2nd quarter this year, the prices have risen by 1.0 per cent.
