Prices for accounting activities level out

From the 1st to the 2nd quarter of 2009 the prices for accounting and auditing activities decreased by 0.2 per cent. The prices were nevertheless 4.8 per cent higher than in the 2nd quarter of 2008.

From the 2nd quarter of 2008 to the 2nd quarter of 2009 the prices for auditing activities rose by 3.3 per cent. In the same period the prices for accounting activities rose by 6.3 per cent.

Small increase in the prices for business consulting

The prices in the industry of business and management consulting activities have been steady in recent quarters. However, from the 1st to the 2nd quarter of 2009, the prices increased by 0.7 per cent, and were 1.2 per cent higher compared with the same period last year.

The prices for architectural activities rose by 4.3 per cent compared with the same period in 2008. So far in 2009 the annual price growth has been lower than both 2008 and 2007. The decrease from the 1st quarter of 2009 was 0.4 per cent.

From the 2nd quarter of 2008 to the 2nd quarter of 2009 the prices for legal activities rose by 5.4 per cent. Private clients experienced the strongest growth, with 6.8 per cent. For the first time in three years, foreign clients experienced a price decrease compared with the previous quarter.

Car rental prices continue to increase

Compared with the same period last year, the prices for car rental increased by 3.5 per cent in the 2nd quarter of 2009. After more than one year with decreasing prices, private customers have now experienced an increase of almost 12 per cent. This customer group accounted for almost 19 per cent of the total turnover in the car rental industry.

Decreasing growth in the prices for industrial cleaning services

Compared with the 2nd quarter of 2008, the prices for industrial cleaning rose by 3.4 per cent this quarter. This means that the annual growth is lower than in 2008 and in 2007. From the 1st quarter of 2009 the prices rose by 2.6 per cent.
