Higher electricity and gas prices

Price index of first-hand domestic sales (PIF) increased by 0.9 per cent from January to February. The price rise was mainly caused by natural gas and electricity, the latter up 1.5 per cent. In February, electricity prices were 30 per cent higher than the same month last year. Higher prices on fish as well as cereals and cereal preparations also pulled PIF upwards.
