Cheaper car rental for private households

The market paid 1.3 per cent less for car rental in the 2nd quarter of 2008 than in the corresponding quarter last year. For private customers, the price was reduced by almost 9 per cent.

The private customers paid 8.7 per cent less for car rental than they did in the corresponding period in 2007. This group of customers accounted for 15 per cent of the total turnover in the market.

The markets largest customer group, private and public enterprises, did not experience any considerable changes. In this quarter, the business customers constitute more than 70 per cent of the market. The foreign tourists also experienced a minor price increase and paid 0.3 per cent more for the car rental services.
