Stable number of beds in somatic hospitals
There were 14 200 beds in Norwegian somatic hospitals by the end of 2004, nearly unchanged compared to 2003. During the same period personnel in hospitals increased by 0.5 per cent. Out-patient consultations and day-treatment are still increasing, 4.3 and 9.5 per cent respectively.
