Huge drop in new industrial buildings
Registered utility floor space starts for industrial and public sector buildings decreased by 30.7 per cent in the period January-November 2009 compared with the same period in 2008.
A total of 18 217 dwelling starts were registered during the first 11 months of 2009. This is 24.8 per cent fewer dwelling starts compared with the same period in 2008.
Utility floor space started for holiday houses and residential garages went down by 21.3 per cent compared with the corresponding period last year.
