Monthly earnings up by 3.6 per cent

Full-time employees in publicly maintained schools had average monthly earnings of NOK 33 200 at 1 December 2007, an increase of NOK 1 200 or 3.6 per cent from 1 December 2006.

Teaching staff in primary and lower secondary schools had monthly earnings of NOK 32 600, an increase of 3.8 per cent from 2006. Employees in upper secondary education had monthly earnings of NOK 34 700, an increase of 3.3 per cent

The statistics are based on information for 62 264 full-time employees in publicly maintained schools per 1 December 2007. The statistics are based on data collected by the Norwegian Association of Local and Regional Authorities (KS).
