Wages and salaries (NOK million)

In 2017, the Regional Reform was adopted in the Norwegian parliament. From 1 January 2020, Norway went from having 18 to 11 counties. The growth rates from 2019 to 2020 in the new counties are calculated in relation to the sum of the old counties that were merged and due to the fact that some municipalities changed their county affiliation, there will be a break in the timeseries for the affected counties. In November 2022, the national accounts carried out a backward revision in the timeseries where a number of industries and other economic timeseries were affected. The county figures have been revised back to 2008 as a result of the backward revision. Does not include employers social contribution.
