Upswing for Coastal Express

A total of 50,951 persons travelled with Norway's highly popular Bergen-Kirkenes Coastal Express (Hurtigruta) service during the first quarter of 1996. This is an increase of 6.6 per cent over the same period in 1995. Although there are still more passengers travelling north than south, the number of passengers on the southbound routes increased the most.
