14 522 new enterprises

A total of 14 522 new enterprises were registered in the third quarter of 2015. This is an increase of 4.7 per cent compared to the same period in 2014. The number of sole proprietorships was higher than private limited companies.

A total of 45 050 new enterprises were registered in the first three quarters of 2015. This is an increase of 2 per cent compared to the same period in 2014.

From the third quarter of 2014 to the third quarter of 2015, the number of new sole proprietorships increased by 8.4 per cent. During the same period, the number of new registered private limited liability companies decreased by 1.2 per cent. Private limited liability companies accounted for 36 per cent of all new enterprises in the third quarter of 2015 and sole proprietorships accounted for 61 per cent.

Most new enterprises were registered within scientific and technical activities (15 per cent) construction (14 per cent) and retail trade (12 per cent).

The figures include all new enterprises except enterprises within agriculture, forestry, fishing and public administration.
