More new enterprises

A total of 13 293 new enterprises were registered during the third quarter of 2013. This is an increase of 3.2 per cent compared to the same period in 2012.

The number of new sole proprietorships increased by 6.3 per cent from the second quarter of 2012, while the number of new private limited companies fell by 0.8 per cent.

Most new enterprises were registered within construction (15.4 per cent), scientific and technical activities (14.4 per cent) and retail trade (11.7 per cent).

The figures include all new enterprises except enterprises within agriculture, forestry, fishing and public administration. These figures can be found in StatBank by economic activity, legal form, county and municipality.
