Fewer new enterprises

A total of 14 739 new enterprises were registered during the first quarter of 2013. This is 9.5 per cent fewer than in the same period of 2012.

The number of new private limited liability companies decreased by 14.6 per cent compared to the first quarter of 2012.

Most new enterprises were registered within professional, scientific and technical activities (14.7 per cent) and construction (14.1 per cent). Almost half of all new enterprises in the first quarter of 2013 were private limited liability companies.

The figures include all new enterprises except enterprises within agriculture, forestry, fishing and public administration. These figures can be found in StatBank by economic activity, legal form, county and municipality.
