13 684 new enterprises

A total of 13 684 new enterprises were registered during the second quarter of 2012. This is 15.4 per cent more than in the second quarter of 2011.

The number of new private limited liability companies increased by 60 per cent compared to the same period in 2011. Almost half of all new enterprises in the second quarter of 2012 were private limited liability companies.

Most new enterprises were registered within construction (17 per cent) and professional, scientific and technical activities (14 per cent).

The figures include all new enterprises except enterprises within agriculture, forestry, fishing and public administration. The figures can be found in StatBank by economic activity, legal form, county and municipality.
