Slight decrease in the number of new enterprises

12 941 new enterprises were registered in the second quarter of 2007. This is a drop of 215 enterprises, or 1.6 per cent, compared with the same period in 2006. However, the decrease was stronger in the first quarter of 2007, when the number of new enterprises went down by 6.9 per cent.

Figures on new enterprises by economic activity code, legal form, county and municipality can be found in the StatBank. Stock of enterprises by 1 January 2001-2006 and enterprise dropouts in 2001-2005 are also available.
