Highest survival rate for limited liability companies

There were 42 069 newly-established enterprises in 2009, of which 11 546, or 27 per cent, were still active in 2014. Limited liability companies, with about 49 per cent, had the highest survival rate.

The survival rate for sole proprietorships was 21 per cent. However, 5 years later, most of the surviving enterprises that were newly established in 2009 were sole proprietorships. This was due to the fact that most of the newly-established enterprises in 2009 were sole proprietorships, with 26 124 companies. The corresponding figure for limited liability companies was 10 352.
