Wholesale and retail trade sales statistics, 3rd period 2011

In total, these stores had a turnover of NOK 26.7 billion in May and June 2011. This makes up more than 38 per cent of the total turnover within retail sales.

The turnover in retail sales was almost NOK 70 billion in May and June this year; a growth of 4.3 per cent from the same period last year. During the first six months of 2011 the retail sales had an increase of 3.3 per cent compared to the same period in 2010. By comparison, the Index of retail sales showed an increase of 2.7 per cent during the same period.

Trade and repair of motor vehicles up 10.7 per cent

The total of sales and repair of motor vehicles was almost NOK 34 billion; a growth of 10.7 per cent from May and June 2010 to May and June 2011. During the first six months of 2011 the total of sales and repair of motor vehicles was in excess of NOK 93 billion, or 9.5 per cent, compared to the same period last year.

Wholesale of NOK 142 billion

The turnover in wholesale was more than NOK 142 billion in May and June this year; an increase of almost 10 per cent compared to the same period last year. During the first six months of 2011 the total turnover in wholesale was almost NOK 404 billion.
