Folk high schools (discontinued), 2006

1 060 participants with foreign citizenship attended short courses in 2006. There are 570 fewer participants compared with 2005. The number of Russian and German participants decreased the most, , but the Russians still are in majority followed by Danes, Swedes and Germans.

Most of the foreign participants are females, 66 per cent in 2006. Women also dominate participants attending short courses, and those 50 years and above are the largest group, accounting for 35 per cent of all participants.

40 per cent of all the participants chose aesthetic subjects and handicraft, while 20 per cent chose courses in humanities, philosophy and ethics.
