Border transport continues to fall

Lorries transported 2.7 million tonnes of goods across the Norwegian border during the 3r d quarter of 2009. This is 9 per cent less than in the 3r d quarter of 2008. Norwegian lorries had 46 per cent of the border transport; the same share as they had in the corresponding quarter last year.

These figures cover goods transported by lorries passing the national border via road. Import and export by lorry on ferries are not included.
