Increase in carriage of goods to Norway
In the 2nd quarter 2001 2.3 million tonnes were carried to and from Norway. This is an increase from the same period last year of 1.6 per cent. Entered tonnage carried had an increase of 5 per cent, while departed tonnage carried had a decrease of 3.2 per cent.
Svinesund Custom Office carried a share of the total tonnage carried of 47.2 per cent, and together with Hån/Ørje they carried a share of the total tonnage of 67.7 per cent, the figures for 2nd quarter 2000 were 67,0 per cent.
Norwegian lorries' share stable
The Norwegian lorries' share was 42.7 per cent, over 1 million tonnes goods. The Swedish lorries share was 38.7 per cent, almost 1 million tonnes.
