SSB has adopted a new method that provides us with better information on settled percentage of full-time equivalent (FTE) from 2015 onwards. The new method has consequences for contractual hours FTE. Read more about the new method here: https://www.ssb.no/arbeid-og-lonn/artikler-og-publikasjoner/ny-metode-gir-bedre-informasjon-om-arbeidstid. Figures for 2015-2019 was updated in March of 2020, and again in March of 2021. At the same time, there have been made changes in the population. Employees in folk high schools and schools where both the first and second standard industrial classification is post-secondary vocational education is no longer included in the numbers. In the numbers for teachers only employees with an occupational code which indicates that they are teachers is included. In the numbers for pupils, those registered as students in post-secondary vocational education is not included in the numbers. The main difference in 2021 is that the Labor force survey (LFS) no longer determines the total level of the number of self-employed persons. This gives a few more self-employed and thus a small increase in the number of employees in total. The method that provides us with better Information on the agreed-full time equivalent percentage (FTE), has gone through a couple of small changes before the publication in 2021, and all figures from 2015-2019 has been updated. The changes from the publication in 2020 due to these changes in the FTE are small. See list over changes in regional classifications (in Norwegian).

Tables that use the new regional division also for the years before 2024.
