Now you have come to the page, Choose variable. This page give you the oportunity to select which variables and values you want to display in your result of the table. A variable is a property of a statistical unit. The page is divided into several boxes, one for each variable, where you can select values by click to highlight one or more values. It always starts with the statistics variable which is the main value counted in the table.
Navigating with keyboard and screenreader. Select multiple object in row: SHIFT+arrow down/up. To select a single value in the listbox: Windows:Hold Ctrl + arrow down. Then release Ctrl and press space. Repeat. Mac:CMD+arrow down/up. Then release CMD and press spacebar. Repeat. (Works only in Chrome, not in Safari). To exit listbox with values selected, press TAB-key.

There is a break in the time-series for the number of households that gives an additional increase in the number of households in 2014. Without this break, the average energy- and electricity consumption per household in 2014 would have been somewhat higher.
Total except gasoline and auto diesel in private cars (GWh): Corresponds to the figure for households in the energy balance, except from that diesel used in pleasure boats and LPG used in cars is included.

Total inclusive gasoline and auto diesel in private cars (GWh): Similar to the figure for energy consumption in the energy accounts.

Number of households: The source is Statistics Norways' population and housing census for 1990 and 2001, and interpolated figures for the years in between. From 2005 the source is register based houshold statistics. The household numbers are calculated as averages for the years in this table.
