The Board
The Board is appointed by the Ministry of Finance and is responsible for overseeing the development of official statistics and Statistics Norway's operations.
The Board considers and determines Statistics Norway's budget proposals, strategies and activity plans. The Board is made up of the chair, deputy chair and five board members, one of whom is an employee representative proposed by the trade unions in Statistics Norway. All appointments are for four years.
