Lasse Sandberg was appointed Director of the Department of prices, financial and external statistics in 2017. He was previously head of the Division for labour market statistics. Lasse Sandberg is a graduate economist from the University of Oslo. He has worked in Statistics Norway since 1988, apart from the period 2012 to 2016 when he was a national expert in Eurostat. Lasse Sandberg has also headed two other divisions in Statistics Norway.
