About Christian Nicolay Brinch
Christian Brinch completed his dr. polit. degree in economics at the University of Oslo in 2002. Since then he has been a researcher at the Ragnar Frisch Center for Economic Research and a post. doc. in Statistics at the Institute of Marine Research and the Center for Ecological and Evolutionary Synthesis (CEES) at the Department of Biology, the University of Oslo. He has further worked as an advisor in the Tax Policy Department in the Norwegian Ministry of Finance, before he returned to do economic research in Statistics Norway in 2007. Christian Brinch currently also holds a part time research position at ESOP, a Norwegian Research Council Centre of Excellence at the University of Oslo.
His research interests spans an axis going from applied labor economics, through econometrics to mathematical statistics and biostatistics, with a main focus on statistical inference in latent variable models.
