Wages up 0.7 per cent in oil and gas extraction and mining
Preliminary figures for average basic salaries for full-time employees in oil and gas extraction and mining show a 0.7 per cent increase between the 2nd quarter of 2014 and the 3rd quarter of 2014. Equivalent figures for the third quarter of 2013 show an increase of 0.6 per cent.

Preliminary figures for the wage index show a 1.9 per cent increase in average basic salaries for the last quarter in manufacturing, and a 0.9 per cent increase for full-time employees in construction.
