Increased labour force

The labour force increased quarter-on-quarter both for men and for women to the 4th quarter of 2018.

All quarters in both 2016 and 2017 saw quarter-on-quarter decreases in the labour force. This trend has now been reversed, and we have four continuous quarters of growth.
The labour force was 72.7 per cent for men and 67.4 per cent for women in the 4th quarter of 2018, according to the Labour Force Survey of Statistics Norway. This was respectively increases of 0.8 and 0.7 percentage points.
