Principal offence

If a sanction is given for more than one offence, the sanctions will be grouped by principal offence – which is the offence that according to the law will give the most severe sentence. Sanctioned persons with more than one sanction during the statistical year will be included only once, thus represented by the most severe sanction. From 2015 and 2016, the selection of the principal offences has seen minor changes, see ‘About the statistics’.
