Decrease in inward settlement flows

Incoming bank settlement flows decreased by NOK 10 billion from the first quarter of 2017 to the second quarter of 2017. Outgoing settlement were steady from the previous quarter with an increase of 3 billion.

Settlements from foreign countries to Norwegian bank accounts amounted to NOK 550 billion in the second quarter of 2017. This was a decrease of 1.7 per cent from the first quarter of 2017. Outgoing settlements from Norwegian non-financial enterprises and private persons showed an increase of 0.6 per cent from the first quarter of 2017. The total settlements sent from Norwegian non-financial enterprises and private persons to foreign countries reached NOK 563 billion in the second quarter of 2017.
